In the summer my catch can oil is black

It's been cold for a bit now and I emptied it today and the colour was like a milky coffee. When I drained the oil , the bottom of the can was sludgy

I know the cold creates moisture but is a sand colour too light? Thx

Just more crap the catch can is keeping your engine from having to burn off. I'm not one to hand out accolades for products, but a atch can is THA *******, and should be mandatory.

I'm a firm believer on the catch can as I checked the catch can after six 0-80 runs and had close to a tablespoon of oil in the catch can...Crazy how much oil gets dumped back into the intake!

I just swapped out my throttle body to the 87mm from moes. Ive had the catch can on my truck since it had 3000 miles or so and there was already some residue on the inside.

It's normal. You get more condensation of moisture in cold weather, turns the oil that milky color. You may also notice it get full faster in cold weather, for the same reason.

I drove home from nor cal to San Diego just after I installed my catch can(500 miles). Upon arriving I had over 1/2 an inch of oil already in the can!! Crazy how well this thing works!!
