So I’ve had my truck for a couple of months now and average between 21-22 going to work and back during the week. I had to drive my truck to South Carolina, it’s about 550 miles one way.

I averaged 25.3 mpg through the hills of West Virginia! I hand jammed it and the computer was within .2 miles of my math. I love this truck. Capable, efficient and comfortable. I couldn’t ask for more.

Btw my truck is an 18 with the hemi and 3.21 gearing. Is anyone else seeing comparable numbers?

Nice bragging rights, but I don't believe it!

I have the 3.92 as well. No doubt this kills MPG a bit, but my RPM's usually stays in about the 1500-1600 range normally.

I have to agree - with the 3.92 ratio I have seen ~ 19-20 on long stretches of flat highway cruising at 55. However given that to get just about anywhere from Seattle requires going through a pass my freeway milage is more like 15-16.

what kind of numbers are you getting? Parts of Tennessee are pretty flat, right?

Most of middle TN are pretty flat, however, there are some pretty steep grades going south, especially going to Pulaski, Tullahoma, and heading down I65 into Alabama.
Even some pretty steep grades on I840. (you'd have to be a middle TN resident to know where all those were)

20.5 is mostly the average here. i've seen it as high as 22.

But I didn't buy a truck for MPG! I bought the hemi for power.

I hate V6's.

I did have a Titan for a short time, that 5.6 V8 was a beast as well, but the 17's have really serious tranny issues Nissan can't seem to pinpoint (on its 7th revision of TSB)

Around town and headed over the pass here I am anywhere from 13.5 - 15.5. On the rural highways (55 MPH speed limits) out near the coast where it is flat I have achieved 19. Pulling the horse trailer I get 11-13.

Agreed on the Hemi Part, I love it

To and from wk during the week on a 39 mile round trip that's basically flat and not much stop n go I'll avg about 20 - 20.5 mpg .
Long trips from Bristol TN to Little Rock Arkansas I've gotten 23.9 mpg .

I'm supper happy with these #s !!! The above #s are the EVIC #s , hand calculated is 1mpg less , either way I'm not complaining ....I should also say I AM NOT an aggressive driver my wife calls me a grampaw driver .
She raised hell in her Challenger [emoji16][emoji16]

My truck : 2014 4x4 QC 5.7L 6 speed xsmn with 3.55 Differentials .

I was always told I was lying when I posted my bone stock 6.7 4wd crew cab would get 22-24 at 60-65 mph going from Chicago to Fort Myers, and before Mount Eagle it would show 700 miles till empty when I filled it.

I could squeak 28 out of my ‘06 Charger RT as well doing 65 in the same stretch.

Hand calc was always within a few .xx of the dash.

My MPG is outstanding as well. No 25 MPG numbers but I consistently get 21-24 on the highway (running empty). 2018 Crew Cab
Bighorn, 4x4, Hemi with the 3.21 gearing. Couldn't be more pleased.

I have a 2016 1500 Hemi and I was getting around 15 mpg until I installed a Y air cleaner system that is 3.5" coming out of the manifold and then two 3.5" openings feeding the air with 2 K&N filters. Now it's getting between 19 and 23 mpg.

Before my level and way oversized tires I could get those numbers. Now my best is 18.1 on highway with cruise set to 65. Anything over 72 kicks me down to 16.1

My 2014 Ram 1500 2wd 5.7l 3.21 rear w 8 speed trans gets an honest 22-23 mpg at steady 70 on level roads regular gas and Pirelli Verde All Seasons. This is about 2 mpg less than dash computer reading. 17-19 around town. BTW, I have a light foot on the pedal.

Now this I believe. 22-23mpg in a 2wd and 3:21's, with a light foot, flat roads, on the highway.
OP didn't indicate if his was a 2wd or 4wd truck (or long box, short box, cab size etc.), but 25mpg on uneven ground seems a little far fetched to me. No offense intended.

Knock about 2mpg off that for the 4wd and another 2mpg for 3:92's and that's where I.... err.... would be if I could stay off the pedal :D

This is my best yet. Just logged this to the Denver airport. Slight elevation changes, but the significant factor is the high elevation. This is a mile high above sea level so less air to burn less fuel. Jay Greene custom tuned me for elevation on 91 on my HEMI, but one of the nice side effects is the gas mileage when driving conservatively (3.21 gears). 9905c11e60ba90ed74a4922564f00997.jpg

I think my truck could achieve that parked with engine off. If I’m crusing on the freeway at 65 I get great Milage, but if a piece of lint falls on the accelerator it falls to 11. Seriously the stop and go kills the mpg. In this parking lot called Los Angeles my average speed is 16 mph. I get about 16 mpg driving conservatively
