I get 20+ on the highway, cruise control set to 65. With the around town driving thrown in, I average 17-18. I just recently went on a long 1000+ mi trip and averaged 22+.

Omg 65 on the highway. Speed limit here is 80. I’ll take my loss in Fuel mileage I’d never get anywhere at 65mph

I should start a thread of worst mpg.

Different scenarios, like towing, regular daily commutes, and long distance or hill climbs etc

Just because some people seem to think it’s impossible and no that’s not all I went by, I hand jammed it to.

It wouldn’t surprise me if the hemi actually got better mileage than the 6 cylinder. I had a 4.8 Silverado that got worse mileage than the 5.3. This new technology really helps these engines with fuel economy. The 8 speed transmission is awesome and does its job well. One of you guys are really funny saying check to make sure it’s a hemi.
There is something to be said about having enough power too. I had a 2005 Silverado with a 4.8 and my next two GM's with 5.3's did at least as well if not better in the mileage department.

I do find that my 17 RAM with the Hemi isn't quite as good as the 14 Silverado I had with a 5.3 but not substantially. Overall it's a much more pleasant truck to drive and have no regrets.

Guess it depends on where you live, speed limit around here - and all the way to FL - is 70 so cruising at 65 is not a big deal. Got almost 22mpg in my '09 doing it that way. Maybe I'm just old, but I made the run from San Antonio to Daytona FL many times at 55-60mph.

In my truck I average 25 smiles per gallon!

Out here in Canada the cold weather kills us. In summer I’ll anywhere from 12.8 - 14.0 l/100km but in this -30+ garbage my truck has literally been pegged around 17.5 - 18l/100km.

2015 crew 4x4, 3.21s, levelling kit, 20x10 wheels and 295/60/20s

I'm gonna say your 25 smiles per gallon is in imperial gallons...convert that to US gallons your down to under 18
An EcoDiesel from Canada will usually run around 8 to 10 l/100km
