If I understand the USB question, it will only play music from the USB in the center armrest/console.

YES!! got my replacement for the mislabeled VP3 that LKQ originally sent, got the box open and its a VP4 but a "CA",,, from all I've read this is Canadian, so I assume i'm still at square one, and need to send this one back too... crap, maybe 3rd times a charm

Many kudos to navrepair.com, again!! After some work, they got my second radio working as it should again!! Gonna put this one in my brothers new 2015 SLT.

Again, if anyone has problems with their navigation not activating, I highly recommend navrepair's work!!

Yes it's the wrong one again. ThThe CA version stands for Canada and doesn't have Real Time traffic. Sometimes it gets freaking frustrating with those guys! You need the VP4 NA. Suggest sending that one back as well. Try to have them send you a picture of the next one to make sure. Also try to make sure it's out if a Ram and get the year and the Vin#. You never know what you are getting with those guys.

It's part of your Sirus subscription so you do need the XM antenna.

once im finished will i be able to access the engineering screen on my 8.4 an. with the up/down buttons from my new ac controls, im really doing this to recalibrate touch screen.

Can you tell me the model year and part number for your 8.4AN/VP4 NA?

I send it too you when I start the conversion. Do I have to get that from the back of the radio? I just can't seem to get a response on when the harness is going to ship I placed the order on monday and Noone seems to get back to me. If harness connection doesn't have any ready can you please tell me when I will see it. I've already invested $400 more after I bought the 8.4. By the way I paid for 2 day shipping. Harness Connection is a preference vendor.

Yes the part number is on the back of the radio (or accessible from the engineering mode once you have the conversion completed)

What he said. If you don't have a center console it's just the two screws. It will pop off. I am not sure why yours seems so hard. If you do have the center console then there are two more screws under the console where it meets the bottom of the dash. If I remember correctly yours did not have the console so you should just have the two screws. If you go on YouTube and search for 8.4 upgrade from O.E.M auto parts.com there is a video of them removing the bezel. It's really very strait foward..

Rick a friend of a friend supposedly has a wrecked Ram 1500 with a center console, I want at least the bezel if it good shape, where are the lower screws to get that off and do the side end pieces of the center console need to come off first to get to those lower screws?
