Hello,

I have a 2013 Ram 1500 4WD 5.7 Hemi, and it has some broken manifold bolts so it is ticking like a time bomb. I am going to fix it, but had some questions and was hoping you guys could help me out.

Are people just replacing the manifolds and bolts with factory parts? If so it seems as though it will need done again not that far down the road. Is there a better solution? Maybe some higher quality aftermarket manifolds, or short tube headers, and stronger bolts? I am not really looking for any performance gains, I just don't want to have them break again.

I am ready to fix it, but kind of bummed out that it will probably happen again just using factory parts.

Thanks in advance for any info.

Stage 8 bolts and Remflex gasket will solve all your issues.

Mine is a 2009 and same issue. 2 broken on each side. The tick even trumps my Borla ATAK with turn down. Having the JBA shorties installed tomorrow. Much better bolts and gaskets in the header sets. Not to mention the performance gain.

On a side note, I thought the bolt issue was only 2009-2012 rams? Was yours a late 2012 build date?

I opted to replace my factory manifolds with shorties and it was worth it. Still totally legal and got some extra power and gas mileage out of it.

Keep us updated. I called my dealership and told them I have an exhaust leak at the back of my motor and they said they will have to keep my damn truck for 3 days to diagnose and fix it! If bolts studs Are assessable I would rather do it myself!

I am not sure of the build date but I think they all have the issue.

Anybody know which stage 8 fasteners we would need to order for the stock manifold?
