So I've got a stupid question. Where does the gas cap teather attach on the fuel door?

I bought my ram used so I'm not sure if mine is it the right spot. The teather is almost too short to screw the cap back on. I see a few wholes on the filler door and I'm wondering if I can simply move it. I don't want to rip it out for no reason so I figured I'd ask here first.

Can anyone post a pic of where it should be attached?

Should be a hole right at the hinge for it to snap in to. Nevermind that mine is not snapped in the cap, it was recoiling and causing my gas light to come on. Lol...

Yes, thanks, I noticed that but was wondering how it actually worked with the way mine is teathered. Now I know how it should be, I'll correct it.

The previous owner might have been one too many beers deep, accidently pulled it out and then just stuck it in the first hole he saw.

They're a PITA. If mine come unhooked I don't hook them back up. But yeah, that's where it hooks to.
