The Chrysler radio I received (68258671AE) from another ebay seller was not the 2014 one I purchased (68224525AH) and I doubt it will work/take updates. I would have had time to install it this week too. Arggh, FML.

I think it may be a 2016 radio.
EDIT:
Spoke to Austin at navrepair by phone. He confirmed that it is a 2016 RA4/VP4 NA radio and is compatible with my RAM... as long as any future updates use a 2016 VIN for the "My16_" firmware files. Guess I will give it a shot and report back.

- Also asked him to email me a list of compatible ram VP4 NA radios for 2013 -2016.

Do you have the update directions from uConnect site (or from post 3)?

Are you certain you formatted the drive as Fat32 vs NTFS?
I had this issue when updating my uc5.0 radio.

I know getupkid got a 2015 a while back and returned for that reason. I apparently purchased a 2016 that I haven't gotten a chance to install yet.

I haven't heard of anyone else getting a 2016 RA4 yet. Do you know who? Send them over here to the thread if you do so we can get more info/pn's. (linked added to make it easier to quote).

I think it was getupkid. He found it on Schram i think under 2016. Could have swore he said it was a 16 and nothing worked so he took it out.

Ok new software loaded on and it is all functioning properly except the NAV icon should show what direction I'm heading and it doesn't. NAV works but it's like the little compass icon isn't working on the NAV button. Maybe there is something in settings I'm not sure. I do know it does that in my wife's jeep.

Myself, and others, have been having problems with the compass/module on my uc5.0 on my 2013 radio.

Initially I tried to drag it from desktop and drop it into e: which simply copied it. I had to double click the file on desktop to open it and then extract it to the e:

Essentially when on the desktop the file is in .exe format and when u extract it changes it to .swdl and the truck can recognize that format

Pull it out and push it in with truck working. Usually If file is wrong it will say incompatible file.

The compass heading shows up on the RA4 in two places on the NAV soft button and on the top banner, also the outside temp should be displayed on the top banner. If you updated from an RA1 radio you will not get the compass or outside temp to show up on the RA4 radio. This is because you need a sales code for it, very few dealers have anyone with enough brain cells to figure out how to add this one.

I upgraded from ra2. Not sure why compass heading isn't working on my ra4. It isn't showing outside temp on the radio either. I still see it in my instrument cluster (3.5" EVIC).

I'm planing on installing an O/H console with compass module and getting the CV2 ? I think ? Sales code for the compass .

I am thinking that the 2013 ra4 (8.4 an) radios did not have compass or outside temp read out but I am not 100% positive.

That is weird, never seen anyone with the RA2 have that problem.

05Roush0090 are seeing the HVAC temp, or the hot cold slider for the temp? The interior temp would only be displayed if you had ATC, and if you did it would show twice driver and passenger. Not trying to be a wiseguy but are you sure your truck was built from the factory with an RA2 or did a previous owner upgrade from the RA1 to an RA2? Do you currently have the overhead console in your truck and if so did it come from the factory or was it added as well? There are plenty of folks who upgraded 2013 trucks from RA2 to RA4 and get the outside temp and compass headings in the radio.

RLK adding the overhead console and compass module will not work, you will need to add the proper sales codes, there are 3 CUN, CV2 and JFJ. You will have great difficulty finding a dealer willg and or able to do this.
