My truck is down in Texas, I came home to AK for Xmas. can I order the GPS update (latest 2017) anyway or must I be in the truck to figure out stuff ?

If you go to uconnect website. Plug in your vin # , if it's available download it to a new 4gig + thumbdrive when you get back to your truck you can install it manually .
Make sure you print out the instructions , because the steps are a bit touchy .

If the site says you are up to date , then either wait on the OTA update or try the uconnect site every few weeks ...

Both the ‘15 300 and ‘14 1500 now have the update. Had to manually do the truck since it has a ‘15 radio implant. Didn’t realize there was a limit with favorites of songs and artists but my wife seems to have hit the limit of 100 in her 300.

Did you have any issues loading up the 17 update manually ?

I only hesitate because my handsfree talk / texting feature works so flawessly and I use it daily .

Yup used it the other day texting my wife lol. The voice changed to a lady lol she's seems more quiet talking back.

RLK, from what I have seen the voice texting still works fine after the update. I updated my 14 and 16 radio and the voice texting still works fine on both of them. You should also have no issues at all doing the firmware update. Remember if you do update it seems to reboot at least four or five times and start over. From what I have read this is normal so don't let it freak you out. You will enjoy the new screen themes and other options if you decide to do it.

Basically you will get all of the features of the 16/17 radios. You will get the movable icons plus the two extra screen themes.. I personally prefer the blue #6 theme. I feel it matches the dash colors much better, especially at night. I cant remember if the 15 radio has the do not disturb feature with auto-text in the phone screen but if it doesn't you should gain that as well. The only thing I noticed my 2014 did not gain was the tune start in the XM settings. This is the feature that you can activate so whenever you're listening to XM radio when you change channels it will start at the beginning of the song. It's a pretty cool option I enjoy it. When I updated my 16 radio the feature stayed but when I updated the 2014 Radio for some reason that feature does not appear in my XM settings. I do not have a subscription for XM on my 2014 Radio so I guess it's possible that could be the issue.

2015 RAM 2500, built in 2014. Original software version was 15.17.5, downloaded your 17.11.07 file and installed in 50 minutes without issue. Thanks!

FYI, Uconnect website said update available, but got the pop-up "error try again later" after entering VIN. Called them, they said website still not working (first tried a month ago), said my options were either wait for an OTA update or go to the dealer. Called dealer, they said as I was past 3 yrs/36000 miles, no OTA update, and they wanted to charge $60 to do it for me. So very happy to get your file. Let me know if you want any additional info.

Later installed the new Maps update for the GPS, which took about 75 minutes, but also without issue.
