Nice. I may have some more questions later. I have a spare engine harness that I can use if it works. As for the ASD in 06 they replaced the FCM and ASD relay with the TIPM and the ASD is incorporated into the TIPM.

OK. I don't have any drawings for the newer trucks. You should be able to identify the 12vdc source wire when you unwrap the harness. Good luck.

I can verify there is no ASD relay on my '06 either which means there us no real easy way to shut off the fuel pump. During my compression test I just disconnected the fuel supply line and stuck it into a gas can so no fuel went to the engine.

Not being able to pull the relay for the fuel pump to release the pressure to remove the shrader valve on the fuel rail test port sucks. That's where I have to tap into for fuel for the nitrous solenoids.

This is for a fuel pressure sensor but you could also use it for a fuel source.

I installed an external fuel regulator and plumbed a AN connection for a fuel source on the passenger side.

If anyone else has successfully installed a window switch for an aftermarket tach, nitrous, or anything that needs a good clean rpm signal please feel free to chime in.

I currently trigger my shiftlite and window switch off of a coil. I choose to mount the window switch where I could see the gauges while adjusting it. I just pop the cover loose and hold it in my hand to make adjustments.

When you first hooked it up did you already have your coil harness modified? Or was that why you did this, to get the window switch to work properly?

I first installed the AutoMeter trigger generator to drive the multiple mods I had installed and it didn't provide the clean trigger I had hoped for. I may have overloaded it as I had a PSC1, shiftlight and dual window switch all attached. And I had to modify the wiring for the AutoMeter install. Before that I just taped a coil to drive the PSC1 that worked fine. But I thought I'd use a central source for all my trigger needs. But the trigger degraded above 4k. I now just used a tap from a coil to run everything. That's why I suggested you first just tap a coil and see if it does the job for you.

Can I run Nitrous with a stock 5.7 Hemi K & N intake, exhaust, edge programmer, or what kind of other mods will need to be done?

I don't see why not. My 4.7 still has stock internals. Yeah I've got a few mods but nothing that's going to help protect my engine from the spray. Besides the kit you need colder plugs and it is recommended to pull some timing with a custom tune, I've also read not to use canned performance tunes bc they advance timing. You will want to look into getting a Diablo or SCT and have someone write you a nitrous tune.

Got everything hooked up and I double and triple checked my work bc the last thing I need is a blown engine. I jetted it for 50 hp just to test it out and all was good except I wasn't impressed(although I could feel it kick in). Everything worked the way it was supposed to but I guess I need more juice lol. My afr was 11.8 while spraying and that seems to be pretty close to optimal afr. I do have a FPSS, MSD window switch( set at 3000-5000 rpm), a WOT switch, bottle heater and regulator, bottle pressure gauge(full sweep) inside the cab, one step colder plugs, a custom tune for nitrous, and a wideband of course. I guess I'll bump up to 75 and most likely 100 hp.

Though I have never personally ran or seen anyone running nitrous on a 4.7, you can safely run 100 hp on most all production late model V8 engines.

A 50 shot is a good size to test with, but you won't feel a whole lot at that size. Go up to the 100 shot with their pill chart and after a run, shut it down immediately with no idling time and read the plugs. You can typically go down 2 sizes on the fuel jets to lean out a bit and get a more optimal burn, every pill chart is designed to be on the rich side. To do that you MUST read plugs each run though.

Thanks man, you've been a big help since I started this and I really appreciate it. I know plugs aren't expensive but is it a must to install new plugs before doing a pass to read plugs or can I stick with the ones I just put in and read them directly after the next time I spray?
