i bought a 2000 laremie slt 5.9 2wd. i should have got a 4x4... i know.

so, i found the same 2014 ram sport rims for sale on fb market, now my 2014 i just bought some new nitta grappler evo's or what ever.
my plan is to buy the fb rims and get a pair of **** rubber on them and put the nittos i got on my 2nnd gen.

if i haven't lost ya, lol

so from, what i gather, the biggest thing is the 2wd on the 2nd gen? i WILL need spacers correct? im not too mechanically inclinded. youtuber self tought dude here...

i just need clarification, half these threads asking the same thing, dont actually have an answer from anyone. like a real answer. and anyone asking the questions, have confirmed. so again??

can someone confirm?

cheers

Which front hub do you have?

Is the truck equipped with a one piece front hub or with a unicast rotor that requires bearing, bearing cups (races) and seals?

If you have the one piece hub with a rotor that you can remove then no spacer is required.

If you have a unicast rotor that can only be removed by removing the dust cap, cotter pin and castle nut then you will need a 1.25" spacer in the front.

The 2nd Gen 1500 trucks like yours have 1/2" wheel studs and the 4th Gen 1500 trucks have 9/16" wheel studs so you will need to use your original lug nuts or pick up a shiny new set to go with the new wheels.

Post up some pics after you get them mounted up.

By one piece hub and rotar I assume your talking about the disk breaks.

the fronts are rotors and the rear are drums.

like I said I’m not to mechanically inclined.
As for using the factory nuts. Yes, I believe id have to keep the 2000 lugs from old rims with the truck and not swap them correct? That barely makes sense to me hopefully you understand haha

cheers

I'm in the process of putting a set of 3rd gen wheels on my 94. I tried 1/2" spacers yesterday and they still needed about a half inch to sit flush. The new wheels need to have the center bore machined out to 3" in order to fit and you will not be able to run center caps on the front. I had the same problem with finding plenty of threads on the topic and no clear answers. My local machine shop is charging me $25 per wheel and my truck is not a daily so I'm only having the fronts done.

1.25" spacers are what is required for the front.

Wow that's a lot of spacer for the offset of those wheels. There would definitely be some poke. I think I'm going to stick with machining
