I aint the one welding the hitch , I got Pipefitter buddies to do that. My welder isnt strong enough for 1/4 anyways

I was curious about the hitch and the filler panel but figured it was because of a bumper height requirement. Definitely looks great!

The one I have says up to 3/16. At max I’ve welded 1/4 and looks like it had good penetration but I welded both sides to be sure. My front bumper will be mostly 1/8 and 3/16 to conserve weight but the main rails will be 1/4” for the winch cradle to be safe.

Dropping off the deck at the industrial coatings shop in town tommorow to get sand blasted and coated flat black.

This will make my Rhino Liner job much easier this spring.

Good news is there was a Magnaflow 14419 Stainless Steel 4 inch Round Muffler on Wearhouse deals for 49$... lol



Other good news is the 4 slot Rugged Ridge 17235.55 Switch Pod fits like a glove after trimming. Been trying to find a decent spot for rocker switches and all I needed was a 30$ piece of plastic for a Jeep... lol...

Exhaust is coming along this morning. Just waiting on Amazon to get here to finish. Reused my old Magnaflow tip and piping... lol...

I also finished the wiring. and cut off those exhaust support. So much cleaner back there now...

I did a very similar exhaust on my old Sonoma. Was slammed down on the ground so I went over the frame and cut a hole in the bedside.

Wonder if it'd be worth getting the air tanks off an air ride system and mounting them under the bed (stock location is above the spare tire) for emergency air use.

Im also checking local Marketplace for real train horns. My current 12v Setup is already pooched... lol.. didnt like the -40 weather I guess.

Cant leave prime real estate empty like that...

Try car-parts.com for air tanks off an air ride truck. They list parts in Canada too, and I can usually find what I want within 30 klms of my location near Edmonton. May find the compressor to keep the tanks full and run the air horns too.

I have a set of these tanks if you want them Ian,i robbed the compressor off them ,and i have no use for the tanks.If you know anybody headed this way,they're yours free.

Not sure of the fitment with the flatbed and stubby frame. But might be worth looking into.
