Yup, mine too! Though “Cat” was one of the cooler cats! Definitely was an outdoor cat! He passed 2 years ago at 24 years old…hunting and killing to the end!
I do like FeLions...they are unique in their characters and needs.
Fighters always, and full of catitude, too!
I had a manx back in the day who was abnormally large and was polydactyl on all four paws, and took it upon himself to take down anything he could in the neighborhood..lol
Our neighbors cats and a dog got the blunt end of his stick, and I'm surprised my cat didn't get a .22 in him for the crap he pulled...lol
We got visits from the Animal Control Officer a few times because of complaints, and once he brought the Bi-Law Officer with him as well to serve us a fine and then demand that we either put him down or chain him to a post in the back yard if we were going to maintain him being an outdoor cat.
Long story-short.... our next door neighbor had a Doberman, gorgeous dog, but a real j_a..cK-A-zz, and the owners kept him grumpy because they wanted a vicious dog...
It was summer time in Port Hope, and we had my cat on a 40' chain with a dog harness attached to him while in the back yard. The Doberman launched over the fence to attack my cat. My Mom and I were standing at the back window looking out and seen our cat jump straight up and land on the dogs back and started to rapidly bite and scratch his ears, face and flanks.
The dog did grab him hard and tossed him off, but he jumped back on and got the dogs eye; destroyed his one eye, blinded him for life in that eye!
All this was seconds to happen; Mom and I ran outside and the dog was whimpering and bleeding from his face and tucked in the corner of our yard.
My cart was growling and hissing like I had never heard him before, and he too was bleeding, from his flanks and limping a bit. The dog put some teeth punctures in him and got his hind leg, too.
Police came and so did Animal Control; the neighbor was losing his mind that his dog was blinded and ripped up, and screaming to have my cat put down and us charged, plus us to pay all the vet bills.
The Cop laughed, looked at my cat in a dog harness and chained in the backyard and commented that this dog jumped the fence and attacked my cat. Self defense!
He also said that the neighbor was paying our vet bills, too.
It's a small town and everyone knows everyone there, especially the Police.
The neighbor wasn't taking this to court; he knew better, he'd lose!
