Recovery rope or strap

Im looking at two different kinds of recovery ropes/straps for the just in case me or my buddys get stuck when we are mudding. IMO they are basically the same minus the look and ones a rope and the other is a strap. Both are made for recovery and have the rubber band effect. this is what im looking at, any advice.

yeah i agree but im the type of person who likes to buy it nice and NOT have to buy it twice. Im leaning more twoards the strap and not the rope.

I would go with the strap, and that is based off my personal experience.

Bailey, what kind of receiver shackle are you using?

I don't have any shackles on the rig. If I need a pull or I'm going to pull someone else I just loop it around the front tow hooks or wrap it around the receiver hitch.

It's a little redneck, but it has always worked!!

I've seen a lot of ropes break, but I don't think I've seen one as good as that either. The strap will probably roll up smaller than the rope for storage, but the rope might fit pretty good in that space beneath the rear seat back when it is folded up.

I have both. The bubba rope for pulling out on beaches and mud, and a 2.5" strap for dry ground/tight quarter sticks. Both serve their purpose very well. If I could only have one, I would go kinetic rope

thanks for the help guys i think im gunna go with the strap. Now what size should i get, is 20 feet too short or is 30 feet too long? any suggestions on that.

30' minimum......and rated for 6x your trucks weight minimum

I actually run that same ARB 3" strap myself. I have both the 3" and 4". I don't use the 4" much because the end is so thick that it does not sit correctly in the 3/4 shackles I use. I have pulled everything from lifted diesels to small cars out of the sand with this strap, and it still looks good as new. I can also save you a few bucks and get one for you for only $120 shipped...$10 cheaper than that ebay listing.
