My RAM was on its second set of tires when I bought it recently. Tires were from mid-2010, KOs and they had about 65k miles on them. 315/75R16 (the truck is lifted).
I replaced them with GoodYear Wranglers, all-season/all-terrain/winter-rated. I had nothing against BFGs but my buddy works at Goodyear and so I got a discount that I couldn't pass.
I'm very pleased with these GoodYear tires. Their contracted shop balanced them really well, verified that my alignment is still good, and I've put about 1000 miles on them within the last month. No wobble, no noise, keep a straight line well, and do twisty mountain roads well, too.
Needless to say, I also replaced the original, 20-year-old spare.
While the jack topic came up: does anyone really use the jack that comes with the truck out of the factory? I didn't have to lift the truck for any of the jobs I've done on it so far, since it's lifted 8", but I wonder if that jack is worth anything, or if I should go ahead and buy something better, that I can use at home, and en-route if need be?
