Spied the new 2500 HD 6.4 - Pics

Was at the gas station this afternoon and spied the new dodge ram 2500 HD 6.4 L hemi. It's the ugliest thing I've ever seen. Tried to talk to the guy but we was in a hurry. My 2018 6.4 towerd over his, looks Much better. I'll be keeping it.

Yeah it's not the best looking, they definitely could have done better with the headlights at least. Although its still better than the 2500 Chevy Aztec.

It’s still got a big ole front end. I like it. I’m more so liking the 8spd and updated interior. I need to see a tradesman in person

I think I could get over the looks if the 8 speed performes well, but the one I seen sat so low to the ground. Definitely not a looker.

That chrome front end does not look good at all. I do not like the 5th gen trucks with the grille outline going around the headlights (uni-brow). The painted front hides it so that’s a must have option for me.

The 8 speed transmission has my attention big time, but the badge on the hood makes loses big points with me. I cant believe something as silly as a badge can be a deal breaker for me, but it just kind of irritates me when I see the badge on the hood. Its wierd.

I still want the 8 speed.

I have not seen one that is monochromatic in person yet, all the units on the lots in this area are similar to the one in the pic. Like the 2019 1500 new design, it will take some time to grow on me.

I think getting the tradesman trim without the chrome package would look better. The 8speed and the 6.4 IMO is the best part .

You do realize that the "new" 2500 is basically the old one with new fenders and hood, and a new dashboard....

I agree with the opinions the chrome out lined grill is too much, I don't like it either. I think paint matched will by far look the best. As far as the tradesman w/o chrome I think that's the way to go so that it can be painted easier. But check out the tradesman leaving it just black............

The interiors they nailed...I think the interiors blow our 4th gens out of the water

The trucks posted in the thread so far don’t look great to me on the outside though

Here’s a few from auto trader that look good to me. Hopefully with time and slight model year adjustments they’ll pull it all together as well as when they update the other 75% of the body panels and lose the 4th gen sides they still have. I think that’s what’s mostly throwing the look off for us.

I’m a sucker for a metallic red truck so I’d probably end up with this red one and throw on a 6” lift and 38s if I had to get one right now...as a matter of fact I think it’s be a great looking truck like that!

I purposely bought an 2018 3500 Laramie because of the hideous looking front end and the badge on the hood! Now technology wise I’m sure it’s an upgrade but my 18 has more technology then I will ever use. But to each their own.

I like the 4th-gen styling better but I think that new design looks better on the HD’s than it does on the halftons. Now, if they would’ve put those headlights and front end on the 1500’s, they’d be way better off but that’s just me.

And even though the new halfton looks what it does, they both still look worlds better than that hideous new Chibby and the Phord Aluma-Duty.

The new Silverado 2/3500 is bad

Everyone except the most loyal fan would agree

If I were buying a 2020 heavy duty gm based pickup it’d hafta be the Sierra. It’s redesign is much better than the Silverado version. Not sure what they were seeing with the new Silverado.

Agreed, the GMC looks a lot better than the chevy.

Clearly they were going for shock value, and I would say they did achieve that.
