Subs without removing shelf?

Has anyone been able to get subs under the rear seats in a CC without removing the shelf? I was thinking the shallow mounts since they need less air space.

I've never seen a sub install with the shelf in place under the seats. If you are going to go shallow enough to fit there you might be better off building a box to go behind the rear seats, there is probably enough clearance for a shallow mount, you would just need to make the length and width dimensions quite a bit bigger to get enough airspace. I'm just guessing but I would think there's enough room back there to do this and would be a more viable option.

I'll have to check when I get home. I wasn't aware the back of the rear seats even moved!

I had shallows in my Sierra and were highly satisfied and they need very little air space.

Well they don't move without some help lol. There's a great mod everyone with backseats on these trucks should do as it should have been done this way from the factory....

Get a piece of 5/8 mdf and cut spacer plates out of it to put under the 4 seat mount brackets to raise the height of the rear seats. The stock seat bolts are plenty long enough. After doing this, when you lift the seat cushion up to about 45degrees the back of the seat lifts just high enough to release from the clips on the back wall and you can lay the seatback down flat Locks back up very easily and stays secure.
