Hey guys, trying to get info on these tires. I cant decide which ones to go with. I have a 2019 classic (basically a 2018), getting a level done on Saturday. Think I narrowed it down to Terra Grapplers or KO2's but I was hoping to get advice from guys that have had them. Id prefer a smother, more comfortable ride. Also, thinking 34s because Im not sure 35s will fit without rubbing. My truck is a 2wd, if that helps.
Any and all help is appreciated. Thanks in advance!
For those who have to KO2 and drive in snowy areas; Midwest and NE or even Out Canadian members: how do they perform in snow?

I had a set on my 99 RCSB and my 08 QC. Probably 100k combined. Never had an issue with them in any way. Now that being said they were both the original KO's, not the lastest version (although I can't see there would be any significant difference). For those who have to KO2 and drive in snowy areas; Midwest and NE or even Out Canadian members: how do they perform in snow?

So the weekend came and went and I didn't get tires. I did however get the level. Was planning on tires but ended up going to Monster Jam and didn't get out on time hahaha. I guess I have another week to think about it. Since my truck is a 2wd, it will almost never see anything other than regular pavement, so Im not too concerned about mud or ice (I live in south texas....it never snows) I AM concerned about ride quality though. This new truck rides very smooth and I'd really like to keep that ride for a while. Now you got me worried about loosing that comfortable ride lolIf you’re getting the truck leveled, I’m pretty sure you can clear 35’s with ease. Well, on a 4WD anyways- I’m not incredibly sure about a two-wheeler.
But if you’re wanting a smooth comfortable ride, even with the stock-sized 20 inch rims on my Limited with air ride, I didn’t think the BFG’s at all were all that smooth-riding. And those were only an 8-ply. I can only imagine a 10-ply 35. I’m not sure about 34’s. You’ll just have to research the sizes in both tires to see what load range and ply they are. But keep in mind, even with the BFG’s I had, BFG recommended a minimum air pressure of 50psi both front and rear. 55 was what they said to run.

I like that idea. Where did you get them? can you provide a link?No matter what everyone says, 10 ply ko2's will be harsh there is no getting around that. And bfg's seem to ride stiff to begin with. if you want to keep the ride stay with stock size and same ply. Nitto does make a 275/65/20 in 4 ply now. So can get a 34" tire w/o going ten ply. That is what I am running and they are pretty decent, not as soft as the factory goodyears but close.
checking now. Are you talking about the 116S?Discount Tire.

Thanks for the advice. What are your thoughts on Discount Tire's 4-ply terra grappler. Just looked them up on the recomendation of another user, Fieldoc.Well, different people have different opinions about ride smoothness. There’s plenty of people who are satisfied with the ride of those tires but more often than not, those people that are, are happy to have their truck ride like a “truck”. Especially the ones that use their trucks for off-road use. I, however, am not. That part about air pressure- A lot of people run far less than that, that I’ve seen and whether or not that’s safe, I’m just sharing with you want BFG told me to run the stock-sized set I had at.
Granted, if I went places those tires were made to go, I’d probably sacrifice ride quality too but since I don’t, I like my ride. I bought them for looks and for the good wet road traction they provided but hey, my Michelin’s are pretty good too. Even rated good for ice and light snow. That’s why I took quite the loss on the BFG’s I had to get my Michelin’s.
Just sayin to use your own discretion. Somebody else’s definition of a smooth ride might be way different then yours.
