So sorry that your truck arrived in that condition. I've always loved RAM trucks, but if that's the way they treat customers then they deserve to fail as a business. Sounds cold, but it seems that lately all, if not most brands, expect super high prices for sub par product. Vote with your wallet. That's the only thing corporate understands.

Hope it was a small deposit.Good luck and I hope you are going to be okay.Dealers don't like returning deposits but you could go back with a few loud individuals ,to the Dealer Manager,face to face, when they are busy and cause,a scene,identifying their BS loudly.You don't have to show them any respect if they want to take your deposit when requesting it back.Worked for me,at a Honda Dealership and I got my 7grand deposit back.You are doing plenty by being online,and identifying the crap they sell(we already knew about that,however) ... WHO is and WHERE is the Dealer located to warn others?I hope you kick cancers' ass too.ALL THE BEST TO YOU!

That dealer must have been reeeeal shady to try to pawn off that mess on you. That is terrible.

They legit should have told you about all the issues before you even showed up to get it, as well as offer to either fix everything or allow you to back out of the sale and completely refund your deposit. If they didnt do any of that, that would be a dealer i would never step foot in again. Period.

There be lot of good dealers who will order you one 3% below list price, sometimes more that is if you can travel, I like Granger Motors in IA or have heard good thing about Mark Dodge in Lake Charles LA

And, they have one of the best parts departments anywhere. Their prices are always way lower than other dealerships on everything I have bought there.

They were $14.79 per cab vent cheaper than the price I got from another dealer. The OAT antifreeze I got from them a couple of years ago was very reasonably priced also.

Unless something has changed, they are a local owned dealer.

Ordered mine Labor Day weekend and took delivery at the end of September. Truck was perfect.
Owner let me pay with a personal check and when I brought the wrong checkbook said bring it tomorrow. Who does that? He joked, I know where you live. Best buying experience I ever had.
They suggested I sign up with the Tread Lightly affiliate program. Saved me about 5.5% off sticker before the rebates.

I'm sorry to hear about your cancer and Dodge experience. Good luck. I ordered a new 2026 Ford F150 Lariat back in December. a week later I received an email from Ford Motor Company saying they had received my order. Two months ago they sent another email saying they would start building my truck on July 20. Since I didn't sign anything nor did I put down a deposit, I have some bargaining leverage when the trading time comes around, if it ever does. They will be in a rush to get my truck. I'll be trading-in a low mileage 2023 Ford F150 Lariat.

5th gen Rams are not built with quality in mind. They just want to make the sale. After that you are on your own. Looks like your truck was damaged by the dealer prep, Detail team, in transit or all the above. I would fire those employees on the spot. But they won't. When I bought a brand new 2017 Ram 1500 there was plastic on the seats and other places. They asked me if I wanted them to prep and clean up the truck. I said yes. Once I started to drive away from the dealer I could see scratches on the gauge cluser. There detailers rag was full of sand. People from the beginning of time could care less about someone else's property. I stopped buying new after the 2019 all new 30 plus recall Ram 1500 disaster. I decided to get used high mileage trucks because its less stress. Don't have to worry about when someone dings my doors or whatever. Sorry that happened to you but its something I have experience every time when buying new trucks. Ram dealerships are about the worst out there. Can't think of any more deserving of the middle finger then them. And don't think for a second that I drive a toyota, Chevy or Ford. I have always owned Chrysler products with a million plus miles all together. Sometimes they make a good car or truck and sometimes they don't. But the dealers are reliably bad

I think I will vote with the majority here, Walk away and find another vehicle. If you truly want a RAM there are several very large, honest, dealership out there (i/e Dave Smith) with very large inventories. honest pricing and they will ship the truck to you without hassle. We bought our last 3500 from a Texas dealer last year, shipped it to us and shipped trade back, all at a better price than we could get here.
I do think you have some very real options,,

Yeah, that's not just a no, that's a hell no if they are not willing to fix it. Even then, who knows how much hidden damage there is. Ordered new and shows up looking like it was in a wreck? The last thing you need right now is more stress.

At 67 and having surgery due to cancer I needed a reliable new truck for medical appointments. I decided to order a new 2026 Laramie. First Dealer wasted 6 weeks then four hours of deceiving information at the dealership. Other dealers never returned messages. Finally I ordered one which should have taken 10 weeks. 4 months later received a call to pickup. Travelled 6 hours. Received a call to wait due to a Cracked windshield. 4 more weeks later went to pick up. Over 10 damaged areas on a BRAND 2026 NEW LARAMIE INTO THE 2027 MODEL YEAR !!!

That's good .... don't take delivery, refuse it, get deposit returned, any further problem, have them contact your attorney.
Find another truck somewhere, in stock, inspect it, drive it, buy it, be done.
I have cancer also.
I would not have stress over a truck.
Eliminate this problem from your daily schedule.

Look into Mark Dodge. There are plenty of testimonials on here . Even though they are in a different state they deliver for a reasonable fee and offer excellent info, can't beat their prices and will be upfront about service and reliability issues with Ram

If you used a credit card for your deposit your credit card company should go to bat for you. We had the same issue once with a new camper we'd ordered. Dealer was not happy, but we walked away and our credit card company refunded our deposit. That dealer should have never expected you to take that truck given all the issues. Some dealers are a treat and some treat you very well. Best of luck with your health. Don't let it get to you. Their is only one you and they make new trucks every day!
