I posted about long cranking before starting and bad fuel was brought up. What would make the fuel bad enough to cause this? What can be added to the fuel tank to bring it back to good?
Since it happens for a few weeks, occasionally, then it doesn't, I'm thinking that fuel very well may be the proplem.

If the gas and ethanol has seperated there is no way to rejoin them. If the gas has changed color and is varnishing, no cure for that either. Best option, drop tank drain gas, clean tank, put new fuel filter in tank. Fill with clean fuel and a good quality fuel system cleaner to cleanup lines and injectors.

@Dean2 is absolutely correct if the fuel has separated

I'd try this before I dropped the tank

Definitely would try that first but to be honest I kind of presumed the OP already would have done that step. Should probably never make those kinds of assupmtions so good on you for making the suggestion.

Bad gas at a gas station is either water in the fuel or contaminants like dirt, bark, etc. Neither is cured by additives. You do not want to run that theough your fuel system. Drop, drain, replace in tank filter and depending on how bad the dirt is, maybe the fuel pump too. Then clean as good as you can, test the injectors, replace if needed and claim it against the gas station.

Fuel can have water in it, dirt or algae. None of those are good, but they can be removed with additives.
Vehicles that sit and are not driven much are the worst.

I've got a 2014 RCSB, that might average 5k miles a year the last couple of years. It sits long stretches and then fires right up, no problem. Course it's got real gas in it not ethanol. The other thing it has is S1 by Redline. Never a problem. Just saying.

I'm old school. Try 1 bottle of rubbing alcohol in your gas tank. If that doesn't try 1 more. Gas and water won't mix. Alcohol and water will. Alcohol and gas will mix. Better than store bought additives. I've had to do this many times over the years. Never failed me. I found this out many years ago when I was racing go karts. Hope this helps
