Your factory system isnt and nobody is worried about that rotting or whatever..
Even if you HAVE to have stainless and you spend $200 total on the part/install, Im willing to bet the gains per dollar are still way better than buying a CAI for instance, and everyone says to get one of them...

I just literally couldn't afford to have the Y pipe installed. And with my VR I've noticed good gains in acceleration and gas mileage that wouldn't be seen with just a Y pipe.

My understandnig is that atleast for the Gen 4s, the factory system IS stainless and that's the problem with chop shop exhaust work. Spike, or Vinnie probably wont have stainless, or will substittute the cheap stuff to make a bigger buck.
