Has anyone used the AlfaOBD after installing the Morimoto Xb FogLights so that you don't need the splitters and resistors ? ie by setting the fogs to LED fogs?

M² Mods.
I volunteer to try this, just need someone to buy me a set of xb fogs :)

I did this with my LED low beams. They flickered really bad without resistors I changed the setting with AlfaOBD to LED Low beams. No flicker at all. I can only assume this would be the same for the Fogs

I installed the Xb fog lights and didn’t need any resistors etc
Been running for 8 months and not one error
I just simply plugged them into my stock connector and all was good

Do you have the premium 7" speedometer or the 3.5" smaller screen?

I converted from quads to projectors a few years ago using Jeremy's conversion harness (with resistors). I was excited to get my DRLs working with Alfa but have just recently noticed they flicker like crazy. I could seen it in the reflection from vehicles in front of me. Bad enough that I turned them back off. Is there a setting that may remedy this?

There is a setting for DRL target voltage. Its set to 7.4 volts just change it to 12+ and you should be good. I had to do this so my LED Fog lights wouldn’t flicker in DRL mode.

I had the resistors wired into the XB fogs for a year but a week ago I set the fogs to LED and then removed the resistors and plugged the XB's directly to the trucks wiring connection. They work great and I never got an error message. Another win for the alfaobd. My truck is a sport and I have the premium cluster and 8.4.

On my 2018 ram 1500 I didn’t need to change anything in the bcm for the Xb led fog lights .
Curious if you tried then without the bcm change like me and see if they work like mine right out of the box .
I wonder if tne 18 didn’t include the fogs for bulb out detection versus other years of rams

No I never tried it, they recommended them so when I ordered the kit it included the resistors for $30 extra. Maybe yours is a Canada thing...I dunno

IF YOU HAVE A 2015+ RAM PLEASE BE SURE TO ADD THE SPLITTERS AND RESISTORS OPTIONS SO THIS KIT PROPERLY WORKS WITH YOUR CANBUS SYSTEM AND TO ELIMINATE HAVING BULB OUT ERRORS

My 2018 3500 worked with the Rigid fogs without any resistors. My ham radio says there is a lot of noise being generated so I'm guessing that they went to a higher duty cycle or higher frequency duty cycle that stopped the flicker. As soon as I get my unlock cable I'll be trying to set to LED to see if that gets rid of the noise.

I’m not sure only one way to know is too set the bcm back and see if the truck throws a bulb out error

One things for sure, if you have the alfaobd don’t waste $30 on resistors

It looks like Alfa OBD is available for iOS now. Of course this happens a week after I buy the OBD link MX and an android tablet.

They’re also having a 25% off sale.

Today I went to activate DRLs and deactivate the fog light dropout and found out I have no CSM options under car configuration. From what I've read this seems to be a 2013 thing with Alfa?

I did manage to get the DRL option in my RA3 and they do work. I couldn't find anything related to the fog lights, any ideas on that?

Were you actually connected to the truck? They don't show up unless you are.
