Looking for ideas I haven't thought of yet.

I have a misfire on cylinder 1. Today i changed all my plugs and coil packs are good. i've tried swapping packs between cylinders but misfire stays on cylinder 1.

cam shaft is not the issue. The lifters were in perfect condition. I just got done changing oil pan seal, water pump (clutch and fan), oil pump, heads (some of the valve were sunken in), all rocker arms, push rods, head gaskets head bolts, intake manifold, driver side exhaust manifold, exhaust manifold gaskets and all four O2 sensors.

Only thing i can think of now is fuel injector but it looks like it's in good condition and holes where fuel squirts out are all clearly visible.

I'm starting to throw parts at it blindly at this point and it's driving me nuts.

The worst thing you can do is assume that a part is good and working properly.

Pull the fuel rail up on the left bank and swap injectors between #1 and #3 and see if the misfire follows the injector.

If it does not follow the injector then you know that you need to look elsewhere.

The code is p0301. I've got 8 spare fuel injectors. The intake manifold I bought came with fuel rail and injectors. I'll try that in the morning when I wake up.

I took it to my mechanic the other day and had him use his. I'll still try the fuel injector in the morning and go to him the next time I'm off work if it's not cleared up

This is driving me crazy. I've tested all fuel injectors with a voltmeter. And can hear them operating with a rubber hose. But still getting p0300 random misfire.

Brand new spark plugs and as I just said fuel injectors are good.

What should my next step be, coil packs. I have replaced 2 of those
