Couple questions.

I have a 19' classic big horn w/ auto dual climate (humidity sensor is on the windshield then?), auto dim mirror and I'd like a high beam mirror and down the road the rain sensor. To buy the new mirror with the high beam sensor, do I need a new harness or just a "plug n play" mirror and enable with alfaodb.

From post #2 this is the recommended parts:
2018 PN: 68342284AA (Assist/SoS/UConnect "Connected" AutoDim w/SmartBeam)
Upper Cover: 1ZA39DX9AA (don't need if it is the same as stock?)
Lower cover: 1YW13DX9AC (or AB)


But at Tasca parts if I look up an 18' mirror I get this p/n that looks like it has it all
68096094AF - but it is ~$600. What is up with that?

That is strange, not sure why that one part is so much more expensive.

I picked up a used smartbeam mirror for a 2017/2018 (doesnt have the microphones) but I dont have the part number right now. Went into my '17 Big Horn without issue and used AlfaOBD to enable Auto High Beam (works great, BTW)

I would think it would still be valid for the '19 Classic as well.

FYI,
68342284AA is the PN of my Factory smartbeam mirror on my 18 ram 1500 Laramie. (68096094AF is an earlier year PN, ie 13-16 mirror with mics) see post 1

The 17 mirrors have Assist/9-1-1 buttons
The 18 mirrors have Assist/S-O-S buttons

What mirror do I need. What wiring harness?
I’m lost as usual, lol.

And I found a mirror with microphone in the classifieds, just not sure if there are different models or part numbers or if it’s as simple as if it’s a mirror with a microphone it will work.

@Mpgrimm2 it's almost time for me to transfer back to NY where it rains more than once every 3-4 months. I think that I'd like to add rain sense wipers to my totally M2 Mods harness truck. I already have your 8.4 conversion harness with ATC / humidity sensor add on and your '17-18 microphone with camera re-route. When I added the microphone mirror, I changed my header harness to the FCA pn# 68207372AC. What besides a rain sensor and cover do I need to do the addition?

You're in a bit of a pickle there since I don't have a good way to add the rain sensor to your existing mic/bu cam reroute harness with pt2 Humidity sensor add-on. It's usually done via an OEM harness in advance if you think you might add it later.

... In the last 3 days another member contacted me about a 13ram1500 sport harness PN that I added to the op.
It appeared to only have the mic wiring and rain sensor plug (that year 1500 doesn't use humidity sensor). I think this may be just what you need to swap out the xxxx7372 harness you already have.

- Mirror Header harness (premium, ie 13Ram1500's & 13+ 2500's with Rain Sensor plug ONLY): 68092369A

Anyone have any insight? Not sure what I need to pin or splice, it’s talked about on the inter web but it doesn’t exactly say how or where.

Rick "Ricks-Ram" did my Mirror install for me a few months ago. Also installed my two new lighted Sun Visors at the same time. I got the mirror with the Smartbeam option, this is a very cool option to have. Worked great on my trip to Reno and back. Thanks again Rick for the hard work!

Ryan, sorry for the delay. Hopefully you figured out which harness you need for your 13ram3500 (8.4 RAx upgrade with ATC Temp harness and bu cam reroute).

From the OP you're looking at either ...

- Mirror Header harness (std/AutoDim , ie 2500's w/Clearance Lts): - 68186009AC

. . . or

- Mirror Header harness (premium , ie 2500's w/Clearance Lts & Rain Sensor Plug): - 68186011AC

It's you bought infotainment's kit ...
They assume you are using the standard 13-16 1500 mirror w/mics harness (68207372AB) that they include with their kit.

If you bought the mirror and harness seperately .... It's plug n play with either of the 2 harness PNs I just listed for your truck (68186009AC or 68186011AC).
