I think I finally decided that I am going to buy a 14" Magnaflow muffler and a y pipe. I talked to my local exhaust shop and he thought it would take a maximum of 2 hours to weld them both in. I did not get to talk to him, but I had pictures of the mufflex kit and someones y pipe that they had welded in. The guy at the front desk talked to me and took the pictures back to the owner (it is a small local exhaust/muffler shop).

My only question is that they do not mandrel bend their pipes. Looking at the mufflex kit, I am not even sure if the pipes would need bent much.

Has anyone just had the muffler and y pipe welded in, and was there much pipe bending? The biggest reason why I am going to buy the muffler and y pipe is to get rid of the crappy crushed stock y pipe.

With the minimal amount of bending needed. The lack of mandrel bends will not hurt you.
