Should I try and find better clamps before I do my install? who makes the best clamps?

the rear clamps are welded onto the hanger so i wouldn't look to replace those.

ahh ok I do have have some stainless welding rods so I could cut them off and put new clamps if needed I guess, The front clamp is 3" ID-OD?

Pretty much any auto parts store has stainless band clamps.
You need a 3" variant. I have no issues with my back clamps, only my front seemed cheesey. I'm just going to have it welded in here in a few weeks.

A band clamp like I posted you should be ok. Just make sure everything is lined up and the pipes are in as far as they go. Mine hasn't moved since.

hmmm i will have to crawl under my truck....i thought the pipe was a tighter fit than that. I didn't think there was enough play in the hangers for the muffler to slide off

You can tighten the clamp super tight and still no go.

I was reading on another car forum that if you use high temp RTV on the pipe before you slip it on and clamp it should eliminate leaks and still be easy to take apart if needed

Customs killed you on shipping costs huh?

nope, Mufflex charged me 80 to ship... Usually if you ship USPS you don't have any customs or brokerage fees

For me not long at all. Within a week or so I got the better clamp
