Finally got my parts in from Moes after some weather delays in shipping down here in the south. All I can say is I love the improvement. Moes 87MM throttle body was easy 10 minute swap and I swapped my KN cold air intake for the Vararam Air Grabber. Then installed the Diablo Sport Trinity HemiFever 93 Tune and now I can't keep off the gas. ARH LT Headers are next then maybe a Edge TC. Thanks Matt for your help and knowledge.

No problem at all. You are off to a great start already, but just wait until those headers and converter go in. Its not even going to feel like the same truck anymore.

What do you think about those ARH LT headers and edge TC Tat2Hemi?

Unfortunately, there are not any aftermarket tq converters for the 8 speed trucks yet. Gonna have to hold out on that one.

Was trying to locate some specs on the torque converter of the 8 speed ZF 8HP70 that's in the truck but can't find much on what RPM the converter locks at.

Yea I thought your sport would be a 8spd. Having 3.92 gears and a 8spd is a Aweasome combo. The longtubes are great! Would be a great power mod for you and sound mean.

The more I keep reading about them the more anxious I get. I may not be able to hold out til spring. I'd probably see if my Chrysler dodge jeep dealership would install them for me. Im not comfortable with it. Question I have is the coating. I have seen some folks getting them coated. Is that a necessity or no. I'm not sure if I have anywhere around here that could coat them. I'd probably have to send them off I reckon, if it was a big deal to coat them.

Unfortunately I'll have to get the one with cats as we have emissions checks in my county. Also 1" 3/4 or 1" 7/8?

Coating reduces head soaking in the engine compartment... keeps the heat flowing down the primaries, not radiating through the steel. Not necessary but it has it's advantages.

Go 1 3/4" primaries.. 1 7/8" are too big for an N/A engine.

Also if you wanna know the stall speed of your truck, stand on the brake pedal and mash the gas with it in drive.. where ever the RPM tops out is right around your stall speed. Probably ~2400-2600

I was told that the 8sp Jeep SRT8 has a 2800 stall converter, but it also makes 100tq more than the 5.7 trucks. This means that even if it did come with a 2800 stall speed, then on the truck, it would only flash around 2300-2400. We are actually looking into this as we speak. I know a lot of 8 speed guys that would love a higher stall converter.

I'm referring to the hellcat tc. The 8hp90. At any rate I'm in for a better converter :)
