Well, maybe you’re right, maybe he did screw the pooch by not paying attention but being that I wasn’t there, I can only go off of what he said and what he’s saying the warranty tech said. I have no idea and no way to know for sure if the diagnostics gave him adequate warning or not and because nothing is guaranteed to be completely 100% failsafe, I just can’t say yay or nay other than that if he feels he’s right, he better get himself a damn good lawyer because it sounds like he’s gonna need it.
I realize this is nowhere near the same thing and I’m only just using this as an example and who knows, maybe it’s supposed to be this way but either way regardless, until I started playing around with alpha OBD, I would’ve never known that my humidity sensor on my windshield had quit working because there was no warning or notification or anything to suggest otherwise and the only reason why I even found out about it to begin with was because I was actually connected to the body control module with my laptop and it was able to read any fault codes that might’ve been stored on it, or any of the other 20 modules/computers on that truck.
