Way better design then the original isn't it?
Yes, thats how it should have been designed in the first place. For the hell of it I loosened the nuts on my stock draglink which, surprisingly were on there pretty tight and felt how tight the adjuster threads were to the rod ends and they felt pretty tight, so I probably would have been ok running the old draglink, but for $120 its worth it for piece of mind knowing the new style draglink wont separate while towing my 40ft toy hauler through the mountains.Way better design then the original isn't it?
Yeah that's how my feeling was on it except mine were loose well one was and I did use red thread lock and it seemed to be fine. But just knowing it could come loose and did at one point really pissed me off with fca. I think I was at 20k miles or less when I found it and that's ridiculous for a pretty much new truck at that point. Glad you got it all done. Does your steering feel tighter cause mine sure is ? My truck drives totally different I swear.Yes, thats how it should have been designed in the first place. You wonder if when asking if they have read the damn thread. Come on man! Try post 51. part# 68338342ABOmg. Just go back a couple pages. It’s posted about 100 times in this thread

Man mine was way tighter and I had only twenty something thousand. Bet mine was bad especially since it loosened up at one point. It feels about the same to me, the truck only has 15k on it
Ok awesome glad it worked out and your happy with it.Thanks RSL0311USMC, got mine done last week at a local shop. A little pricey (shop charged me MSR for the part even after saving them the leg work of finding it and the usual labor) but this is NYC! I do feel a difference in the steering but I wouldn't define it as tighter, maybe lighter would be a better term, it was a bit stiff before the new part. My truck has less than 6k miles on it, can't use it for a daily driver here (for so many reasons); I have an old wrangeler I use for commuting. Taking it on a 1200 + mile round trip to Cincinnati in a couple of days to visit family, I'll update the thread with any new impressions. Thanks again for all the useful info.
well I'm attempting to get the new part from the dealer that did a ****** fix on my recall. See how that goes. I'm not dealing with a crooked steering wheel forever but I really don't wanna spend the 120 myself.
So I got some parts in the mail yesterday...…………...they just sent me the lock nuts! lol. She said that's all I requested. I kindly highlighted the drag link part # that I requested as well. haha. We'll see what happens now. Guess two nuts for free are better than nothing!
