It appears permacool does not offer the 70988 kit anymore but this is the deluxe kit for dual filters. Right from their website. And yes that’s weird. Never noticed that before. However the 70988 is the 22x1.5?filter thread. It would just require a nipple swap. I could do that with mine too if I so felt like it.

I would for peace of mind and the fact that the -10 AN hose and fittings are 5/8” ID instead of 1/2”So this one would be good right .... would this one need the upgraded fittings and hose?

1/2” npt threaded fittings to -10 AN hose and you should use thread seal as well or even rtv gasket on the threadsHell yeah ... hopefully they are open to the public and I can go there on Monday and get everything I need ... they sell fittings, hoses everything you need lol ... im pumped now

More like these. No need to run adapters. They just make the fitting longer and more possibility for issues. These go from the 1/2” thread and are -10 an hose ends all in one. And also exactly what I’m running on my setup

I just finished my installation of an Improved Racing oil filter relocation and oil cooler. I went with Improved Racing because I liked the quality look of their components, anodized billet aluminum. These are the items I installed:
- Remote Oil Filter Adapter, ENV-163 with M22X1.5 filter thread
- Remote Oil Filter Head with Thermostat (165°F), ENV-170-T2-F4 with M22X1.5 filter thread
- Dual Pass Oil Cooler, MHX-214-10AN
- Fittings -10AN, 4 straight and 4 90°
- Racing Hose -10AN, Viton inner bore
The reason I wanted an oil cooler is because I tow a 9,000 pound travel trailer and the engine oil gets in the 240° or more range, hopefully this will help keep it a bit cooler. I know that is not too high for synthetic oil, but I just want it a bit cooler. The remote head has a thermostat that limits oil passage through the cooler until the oil temperature is above 165°F
I took it for a short 12 mile test drive and it all worked fine, without any leaks. The temperatures and pressures are as follows, non-towing at idle:
Before install: Water 203°F, Transmission 174°F, Oil 212°F, Oil Pressure 47 PSI
After install on startup: Water 57°F, Transmission 57°F, Oil 57°F, Oil Pressure 57 PSI
After install after drive: Water 203°F, Transmission 170°F, Oil 199°F, Oil Pressure 46 PSI

Longhorn is the one who used Improved Racings set-up,it's a work of art to.
Depends on how you plan on mounting your filter mount but definitely want 90s on the filter relocation plate. So two of each ?
