Hello everyone
So I installed aftermarket headlights (Alpha Rex) and like everyone else get the “Parking Light” code. I purchased the OBDLINK MX+, purchased an Android tablet and bought the AlfaOBD app. When I try to make a change AlfaOBD gives me the message “Procedure completed, but status unknown. No Control Unit confirmation received for the write request. This usually means OBD interface issue.” Has anyone experienced this or have any suggestions? Please help, the dinging is on my last nerve lol

If it's a 2018 like listed in your info you need a security bypass cable. I did not see you mention that.

Sorry, yes it’s a 2018 Ram 3500. Security bypass cable? I’ll see what I can find on that. Thank you

You can get the security cable from KaodTech.com

Fwiw, I did not need the expensive MX obd unit to work with my truck. Once I got the bypass harness the cheapo elm327 I have works fine.
