Anybody ever check their upper intake bolts?

Done mine today. 2019 Ram classic. All were under specs. I went 20,40,60,80,95 then finally 108 in. lbs.
2 moved @ 20 in.lbs. [emoji15]Engine sounds quieter now.

38,000 miles on my 6.4.

No loose bolts. [emoji2373]

I’d rather check them every oil change then put Loctite on them.

Was waiting until my oil/filter change and other maintenance to go around and finally check these. Below is my results ONLY AFTER 6,483 MILES!!!!! Can't even imagine going 36k and bummed I can't properly check a few of them! This was after two years; from now on I think I'll just check them every 2 years.

Didn’t tighten in the sequence because couldn't properly/comfortably access the passenger side bolts correctly due to Mopar CAI and Catch-Can. I attempted to re-torque each three times.

Drivers side:
All at least 20 inch-pounds loose, but 1 was good.

Passenger side:
7 was good
3 & 6 might have been a little loose
Couldn't reach 2 & 10

Changed my oil and checked all my intake bolts today. All of mine were very loose. 2017 with less than 23,000 miles. Went around in sequence 3 times at a half turn each time until tight. I only torqued them to 85 inch pounds as I was afraid to crack the intake or the 3 year old gaskets. I will definitely check these again next oil change (10 months to a year) to see if they loosened off again.

Getting FCA to do anything is like getting that white Redline lubed ram on OCDTech’s sig to jump off that damn screen!

I was under the hood changing the air filter so i thought I would check the intake bolt torque after a week of driving. Sure enough they were almost a half turn loose again so I retorqued them to 90 in/lbs. From what I have read the bolts are not really loosening off. Several guys on a Challenger forum have torqued them, driven it for a month and retorqued them, then marked them. After driving for months and rechecking the marks, none moved. I think if you keep torquing them down eventually you will mash the intake seals and/or crack your intake. I think I will leave mine alone now since they have been done twice.

I think this should be made into a sticky at least until a better thread is created
