Where does your backup camera display?
Are you an Android or Apple phone user?

My mistake on the part numbers... The above USA market PNs likely will not work for you in your country (Oman). I'm not sure of the correct PN ... Probably a Rest of World (ROW) version. Forum vendor AllMoparParts.com 'Benny' may be able to get you a correct PN. Or perhaps the guys at CustomTronix ... or ... Infotainment. Thanks for the detailed explanation.
Here are my comments:

And if I get the UAS model (w/o NAV) it shouldn't matter what region I live in, correct?
Correct, that should be compatible with Apple and Android.Khalil1500 said:
Yes, you definitely need a HVAC conversion harness (you just don't need the 4 to 7 speed fan resistor harness)Khalil1500 said:3-

THanks for the feedback.
I bought my truck from the dealership in my country, so it might have came specifically designed with a radio to fit my region.
But, I have a lot of friends who got pre-owned trucks shipped from the US (Ram 1500's, Sierra's, Tundra's, etc.) and their radio works (they can find FM and AM stations) expect for the NAV since the NAV maps are specific to North America.
So based on that, I though that means if order the 8.4 UAS radio, I shouldn't have any issue with the AM/FM radio stations.
I will try to contact my dealership tomorrow and ask them about the UAS/UAQ version in my region, and if it would fit my truck if I order it from the US.
Yeah they are the same everywhere don't worry lol.Continuing this here to avoid cluttering Benny's vendor thread...
Not sure if dealers in your country will be any different, but most likely they will be of little help with this kind of non factory upgrade and just say it can't be done. If you know of someone's 18-19 classic truck in your country with factory equipped 8.4, use that vin to track down a replacement radio PN from a parts dealer. You will need that vin anyway to get sw updates for the radio later.

Keep in mind, places like CustomTronix and Infotainment offer 'country specific' radio conversions that physically convert a 'usa' radio to work in another country by installing the relevant radio tuner & sw. I just find it hard to believe a USA radio would work in it's original state.Yeah they are the same everywhere don't worry lol.
Unfortunately, the only guys I know with Ram 1500's had them imported from the US.
That is why I'm planning to call the dealership and ask them about the PN of the 8.4 UAS/UAQ radio they have in stock, and if PN matches with the one in the US it should work? or at least Benny might know if it will work if the PN is different.
FYI, I have already called them a few days back about the cost of an 8.4 UAS radio (w/o the bezel and harness) and the price they offered costs an arm and a leg.

Jim,I just up grade my 2017 ram, with the right help and parts it went very well. I want to thank you for all the help and quality parts that made this possible. I have no experience in electronics and I was able to do it that says a lot.
